The Idea
A Tribe Watersports kite camp is a private week on the Kenyan coast. Coaching, riding, downtime and sundowners, all run by one dedicated crew.
Tribe Watersports is the operational partner. We run the kite school, the coaching, the safety cover, the boats, the gear and the logistics. The group arrives, we run the week.
The Numbers

- Built around your kite club, school or following. From six paying guests upwards.
- Seasons
- Kaskazi (Jan to Mar) and Kusi (Jun to Sep). Each has its own character.
- Format
- 9 to 14 days, depending on the camp. Six to ten days on the water.
- Locations
- Watamu (Garoda Resort), Diani (Sea Lodge), or both in a single trip.
- Level
- From first-timer to advanced freestyle. Beginner instruction under our TRA and KWS licences.

We build a full itinerary for your group for the whole stay, including organising accommodation and activities.

Beach assistance
A full beach team is on the sand for every session. They size and rig your kit, walk you off the beach for a clean launch, and watch the water while you ride. When you come in they are there to land and break things down, so your day is spent riding, not faffing with gear.
Storage & facilities
Secure on-site lockup for boards, kites and bars, no lugging gear to and from the hotel. Pair it with fresh-water rinse stations, hot showers, changing rooms and a sheltered clubhouse to sit in between sessions. Roll off the water straight into the evening, dry and ready.
Rescue cover
A dedicated rescue boat is on the water for every session. Our team watches every rider and is ready to step in for a downed kite, a long upwind, or anything the conditions decide to throw at you. Multi-governing body approved, with over thirty years on the Kenyan coast.
