The trip

Crystal clear water. Kaskazi wind.

Ten days running from Tribe Watersports at Garoda Resort, in the heart of Watamu inside the marine park. Tribe Watersports acts as your full ground operator: accommodation, beach base, kit storage, full safety cover, beginner instruction under our TRA and KWS licences, and a curated bundle of Watamu signature activities.

You bring the group and run the main coaching programme. We run everything else.

Kaskazi is Watamu's peak winter season, NE trade winds, warmer water, flatter conditions, dolphin pods reliably visible offshore. The activity bundle is tailored to what the season delivers best.

Inside the marine park

Kite in a protected marine park.

Watamu sits inside a KWS-protected marine park, one of the oldest in Kenya. The reef shelters the lagoon along the length of the beach, creating wide, flat water for kiting and the cleanest snorkel water on the coast.

Marine park fees are covered by our KWS licence, no extra charge to guests. Dolphin pods work the offshore edge of the reef through Kaskazi season, often visible from the morning SUP run.
